Following the index case of Coronavirus also known as COVID-19 in Lagos State, Kwara State Government says it has activated all relevant preventive measures to guide against the outbreak of pandemic in the state.
The state government called on residents of Kwara State to increase their personal hygiene and report any illness in the nearest health centre.

The State Commissioner for Health, Raji Abdulrasaq, said the state has adopted a multisectoral approach to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19 through a synergy with various ministries and agencies of the state and Federal Government especially the Port Health Services and the Nigerian Immigration Services at all points of entry at the borders.
Abdulrasaq noted that the state is fully set to use all the available resources to prevent the spread of Coronavirus in the state.
Similarly, the Director of Public Health at the Kwara State Ministry of Health, Dr Oluwatosin Fakayode, maintained that an isolation centre has been established at Sobi Specialist Hospital, Ilorin, noting that sensitization of students of both private and public schools on regular handwashing has commenced across the state to warn the indigenes on the danger of Coronavirus.
However, some residents of the state spoke on the preventive measures they have adopted to prevent the spread of the virus and they also called for more publicity on how to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
