Liquefied Petroleum Gas, LPG, consumers in Warri, Delta State are lamenting over the sudden hike in the price of cooking gas, which petroleum marketers have attributed to the scarcity of the product.

Some of the consumers described the situation as unfortunate, because the region is blessed with abundant gas resources, yet there isn’t enough.

LPG is preferred by consumers because it has a higher heating value and burns a lot cleaner than other alternatives, with the electric cooking burner as an exception.

But the sudden hike in the price of LPG is something consumers are not pleased with.

According to marketers, the high cost is being attributed to the scarcity of the product.

The LPG consumers, however, want the Federal Government and its relevant agencies to do the needful, to save Nigerians from unnecessary hardship.
