The Special Adviser to the Kebbi State Governor for Special Duties, Shafi’u Abubakar, says former Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, faces legal action for defamation by Kebbi people.
Shafi’u Abubakar, announced this at a press briefing in Birnin Kebbi, the capital of the state.
He said he criticised the former Attorney-General for making frivolous allegations, that the incumbent Kebbi State Government is sponsoring terrorism.
The adviser explained that Malami is not a lover of Kebbi; he has not shown benevolence to the people, nor contributed to the infrastructural development of the state.
“Kebbi is known for absolute peace and tranquillity; he is not happy about the successes recorded by the current administration in the development of the state.”
Consequently, Shafi’u said, it is a decision of the people of the state to take legal action against Malami for defamation, character assassination and escalating trouble.”
