The former Governor of Plateau Senator Jonah Jang, has urged the people of the State to continue to pray for the Governor of the state, Caleb Mutfwang, to enable him succeed.
He made this call during a reception for Governor Mutfwang on his arrival to the state after his victory at the Supreme Court.
The security at the Yakubu Gowon Airport Heipang had their hands full, as they didn’t anticipate the overwhelming crowd that came to welcome Governor Caleb Mutfwang after a victorious outing at the apex court.
If the crowd at the airport was massive, getting out from there to the venue of the reception proved a greater task as residents of the state capital were at every turn in their numbers welcoming their number one citizen.
At the reception, former governor of the state, Senator Jonah David Jang, while thanking God for victory, urged the people of the state to unite in Payers for Governor Mutfwang to succeed.
On his part, the Plateau state governor, Caleb Mutfwang, commended President Bola Tinubu and the judiciary for allowing justice to take its course.
Others who spoke called on members of the main opposition party in the state, the APC, to sheath their swords and unite with the Governor in the interest of the Plateau.
The judgement of the Supreme Court brings to an end months of uncertainty, as the people of the state will look forward to seeing the dividends of democracy now that the distraction has been buried.
