Two people died in an early morning fire at a major market in Masaka in Karu local government area of Nasarawa State this Saturday.
Goods worth millions of naira were also destroyed by the inferno.
Though some of those affected declined to speak to AIT, the fire destroyed over two hundred lockup and make shift shops.
Others who agreed to speak off camera said though Nasarawa State Fire Service was contacted to help put out the fire, it took them several hours to arrive the scene.

They the two victims died while attempting to save their goods.
The Saturday fire incident is the third in Masaka Market in the last three years.
A section of the market was burnt a few months ago.
