The remains of 21 farmers, including a family of five, killed during Thursday’s attack in two communities near the Jos Airport in Plateau State have been given a mass burial.
Community members who spoke during the burial ceremony said the killings on the Plateau are no longer farmer-herder clashes but acts of terrorism, with a call on government to rise to its responsibility keeping people safe.
Heipang District in Barkin Ladi council area of Plateau, has again been thrown into mourning, this time in Batin and Rayogot communities near the Yakubu Gowon International Airport after an attack which lasted for 45mins in the early hours Thursday, claiming the lives of about 21 persons, while several others sustained various degrees of injuries.

An investigation into the incident is still on and the actual number of casualties were yet to be ascertained at the time of this report, but the attack in the Heipang District in Barkin Ladi local government lasted 45 minutes
