The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Mathew Kolawole, says there is need for the North Central zone to produce the next Nigerian president in the 2023 general election.

The speaker, stated this when he led members of the Kogi State lawmakers to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to solicit for support for Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State to be considered for the position of President in Nigeria come 2023.

According to Mathew Kolawole, he is on a tour around the North Central zone to solicit support for the Governor, He said the North has served their tenure of 10 years, and it is necessary to consider the next president from the North Central zone.
In response the speaker Nasarawa State house of assembly, Ibrahim Abdullahi, emphasized that the state will always support good leaders that will move the country to greater heights, adding that Yahaya Bello has leadership qualities for the task ahead.
The two speakers of Nasarawa and Kogi state assembly’s promised to legislate and pass laws that will have direct bearing to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the North Central people, stressing that ensuring security in their States is topmost on their list as legislators.
The push for youths to hold key political positions in Nigeria has been on and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state is one of those hoping to be governor while he is still young.
