As Nigerian workers across the country celebrate this year’s workers day, some Delta residents in Warri are of the opinion that the country’s minimum wage amidst the rising cost of living, leaves most workers with nothing desirable to celebrate.
Those who interacted with AIT, urged government to be sincere about a befitting pay rise for its workers.
They also want government to address issues of insecurity that now threatens food security and the high inflation of goods and services in the country.
The sudden hike in pump price of premium motor spirit, pms from six hundred and sixty naira per liter to seven hundred and fifty naira as well as the depreciation of the naira were among the concerns raised.
