Military airstrikes mistakenly kill soldiers and civilians in Zamfara

Sixty one persons and eleven soldiers were said to have been mistakenly killed by military airstrikes at Mutumji and Malele in Maru Local Government Areas of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.

The incident was said to have occurred on Saturday and Sunday

The soldiers that were mistakenly killed by the airstrikes were making efforts to repel Terrorists’ attacks at Malele Community while the fighter jet was providing air support for the ground troops when it mistakenly killed the eleven Soldiers with some Terrorists.

The fighter jet was attacking the Terrorists when it mistakenly dropped a bomb at the center of Mutunji where 61 innocent citizens were killed in the troubled Communities.

Three military vehicles were also destroyed in the incident.

Reports say more military personnel have been deployed for reinforcement to restore normalcy and eliminate the Terrorists in the affected Communities.
