A special team led by Brigadier General MF Babayo of Sector 3 Operation Hadin Kai and the Multinational Joint Task Force MNJTF have killed two ISWAP terrorist fighters and recovered several weapons and items in the Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region that the successful operation took place on July 8, 2024.

The sources said that army troops with support from Hybrid Force, and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force CJTF, engaged the terrorists in a heavy gunfight at Kwatan Dawashi, killing two of the fighters and causing others to flee with gunshot wounds.
The combined forces recovered seven AK-47 rifles, magazines, ammunition, and other items, including tax/levy receipts, jotters containing names written in Arabic, phones, radios, drugs, and uniforms.
