Northern Plateau has no doubt been engulfed with killings and reprisal attacks in recent times which led to wanton destruction of lives and properties. In a bid to find lasting solution to the lingering crisis, the Operation Safe Haven inaugurated a peace committee, to carefully fashion out modalities to bring about lasting peace. After one month of its inauguration, the Committee has come to submit its report.

Community leaders who spoke during the presentation expressed optimism that the initiative would promote peaceful coexistence in the State.

In his remarks, Major-General Ali, assured, that the recommendation made by the Committee will be given critical consideration.

There has been many committee reports on achieving peace in the Plateau State which were not implemented, but citizens remain hopeful that this time, the report will be acted upon to serve as the conner stone towards achieving total peace.
