The late former Chief of Defence Staff, General Domkat Bali is to be buried on Monday, December 28, 2020 according to Christian rites with full military funeral.

Addressing newsmen Sunday, in Lantang, the family of the deceased and some kingmakers of the land said there will be no traditional rights during the planned burial.

Arrangements for the burial of the former Chief of Defense Staff, General Bali had earlier generated reactions with some of his kinsmen insisting that the traditional institution be involved in the burial arrangements. However, it appears, the issue has been put to rest with the kingmakers now clearing the air on the lingering issue.

They also said that General Bali was never installed at any time as Ponzhi Tarok.

The kingmakers appealed to the people to desist from politicising the death of the late Minister who died on December 4, 2020 and allow his burial to take place as announced by the military authorities as the Chief of Defense Staff General Abayomi Olanisakin is expected to attend the funeral.
