The Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa says the military will investigate the airstrike that mistakenly killed no fewer than ten innocent people in Sokoto State recently.
The CDS stated this while fielding questions from Journalists shortly after visiting the injured personnel at the hospital in Sokoto, the State capital.
He observed that there are individuals who harbour the lakurawas and make themselves legitimate targets of military attacks.
General Musa insisted that there were criminals in the location where the military bombed and that anyone who was with them was part of the Lakurawas.
He also said that the operation which the military conducted in Sokoto ensured the avoidance of mistakes as far as possible.
The CDS warned the people not to allow the Lakurawas to hang around them and to give them any form of support, as the military is poised to defeat and flush them out of Nigeria.
