Banks and other financial institutions were not opened leaving customers to use the ATMs and online services.
State NLC Chairman, Ismaila Okoh and his TUC counterpart, Mohamed Doma said the workers are in total support of the decision of their national body on the strike concerning the increment of their minimum wage.
The state labour leaders promised to go round all government and private offices to ensure total compliance with the strike.

Across the various ministries monitored by AIT.live in Ilorin, the state capital, the main entrances were shut while workers who attempted to gain their way were stranded even as they appealed to the Federal and State Governments to find lasting solutions to the poor minimum wage that can no longer cope with the inflationary trend in the country.
The NLC and its affiliates in Bauchi State have joined their counterparts on the indefinite strike but without any procession to express their grievance.
The Labour leaders only meet at the gate of the Abubakar Umar State Secretariat to brief journalists. The NLC Vice Chairman, Ibrahim Maikudi and national leader of AUCTA, Abdullahi Ibrahim said the strike is in full force and their members only went out to monitor compliance
A visit to banks, State and Federal Secretariats by AIT.live shows that all gates to the offices are under lock and key.
