Minister commits to improved potable water supply at youth empowerment launch in Kwara

Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Professor Joseph Utsev says the Federal Government is committed to its efforts at providing potable water for all Nigerians, including irrigation to drive food security in the country.


The Minister said this on Friday at the close of a youth empowerment scheme organised by the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation and Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority in Ilorin the Kwara State capital, where fifty youths were trained on modern agribusiness.

Addressing Journalists shortly after the closing ceremony of the Graduate Youth Empowerment programme, Professor Utsev said there was no going back on the policy to improve access to water for drinking, sanitation and agriculture
The Minister advised the programme participants to properly put the skills acquired during the training to maximum use for the overall development of the country,


Fifty youths across the sixteen local government areas of Kwara State benefitted from the free training in different categories of agricbusiness.
