Trouble started after the Minister of Labour accused the ASUU president of instigating Nigerians not to vote for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections, accusing the party of being responsible for keeping students at home in the last 7 months.
The comment however did not sit well with the ASUU President who flared up and accused Ngige of telling cheap lies to blackmail him and his union.
