The Minister of State for Environment, Iziaq Salako, has reiterated his commitment to environmental sustainability in line with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’
Salako while receiving a delegation of the Association of Doctors Unite for Tinubu, home and diaspora in Abuja expressed gratitude to the president for the opportunity to serve in his cabinet promising to do all within his powers to ensure a healthy environment for all Nigerians.

Leader of the delegation and National Coordinator of the Association Christopher Enoch also applauded President Tinubu for finding Iziaq Salako worthy as Minister of State for Environment, saying he has made laudable impact in the Ministry since his appointment.
The association used the occasion to decorate Salako as its Patron saying the move is not only because the Minister is a medical Doctor by profession but also because of his passion in Promoting good governance, democratic values as well as his commitments in the environment sector.

The National Coordinator, Christopher Enoch, highlighted the activities and achievements of the Association to include general medical outreach across the 36 states of the Federation and FCT, enlightenment campaigns on the eradication of the menace of drug abuse and social vices in the society as well as health education.

Salako thanked his Professional Colleagues for the recognition and assured them of maximum support even as he described the Association as one of the most responsible, responsive, selfless, skilful, and trustworthy team for national cohesion and development of mankind.
He recalled that president Tinubu as a former Executive Governor of Lagos State was the first Governor to introduce laboratory coat allowances in Lagos State and now, as President of Nigeria who has passion for the medical Profession, has appointed eight Medical Doctors in his Cabinet.
