Nigeria’s Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola says it is not true that the federal government has no presence in Rivers State.
The minister said this when he visited the Bonny/Bodo road project being undertaken through a federal government tax credit scheme.
Fashola’s visit to the thirty-eight-kilometre project was to ascertain the progress of work done.

The visibly impressed minister said the construction project was a clear indication of federal government presence in Rivers State.
He said the road project will be completed by December 2023.
The road is about sixty-five per cent completed and is expected to considerably enhance movement along and beyond the adjoining communities.
Two of the four major bridges and nine mini-bridges have been delivered.
