Mohbad: Court Remands Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Others

A Magistrate court sitting in Yaba, has ordered the remand of Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, Samson Eletu populary called Sam Larry, Ogedengbe Fisayo and Ayobami Sadiq in police custody for twenty one days.

The remand order follows an application by the police seeking more time to conclude investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of twenty seven year old music artiste, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly called Mohbad.

Legal counsel for the police, deputy Superintendent of Police, Umaru Bello and Assistant superintendent of Police, Augustine Nwabuisi had approached the court seeking an order to remand the suspects for thirty days to enable them conclude investigation into the matter.

Magistrate Adeola Olatubosun in her ruling, ordered that they be remanded for just twenty one days as against the thirty days requested by the Lagos State Police Command.

The suspects who are charged with conspiracy and suspected murder were also granted access to lawyers of their choice by the court.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command also declared wanted a close friend to the singer, Owodunni Ibrahim also called Primeboy for failure to honour their invitation since the commencement of investigation into the circumstances leading to the singers death.

The Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa equally offered the sum of one million naira to anyone with useful information that can lead to his arrest.

Ilerioluwa Aloba died on the twelfth of September 2023 under controversial circumstances
