Monitors of forthcoming Kano LG polls told to exhibit professionalism

The Civil society situation room in Kano says organisations that will observe the forthcoming local government councils election in the state must exhibit decorum and professionalism.

Convener of the situation room Ibrahim Wayya gave the charge at a one day training for election observers from civil society organisations.

Local government councils election in Kano State are scheduled to hold on Saturday (January 16th).

Kano state independent electoral commission KANSIEC said it has already distributed all non sensitive election materials to the 44 local government areas.

Chairman of KANSIEC Professor Garba Sheka said all other arrangements for the election have been put in place.

12 political parties are participating in the local government elections.
