Early reports from Enugu State indicate that economic activities picked up slowly across the state this Monday, with many residents saying the situation feels like a typical slow start to the week, rather than compliance with any sit-at-home order.
At Ogbete Main Market, the commercial nerve centre of Enugu city, many shops remained locked in the early hours, while some traders gradually opened later in the morning.
Elsewhere across the state, schools and offices opened, while traffic gradually built up, despite a low presence of security operatives on the roads.
