Mother of abducted Kankara student leads protest to demand their immediate rescue

As the Federal Government led high powered delegation to Katsina State was at the Government House assuring of the return of the abducted students of Government Science Secondary School Kankara, women in the community staged a protest demanding their immediate rescue.

A mother of one of the abducted students led the women who were seen carrying placards with different inscriptions such as, ‘ “we want our children back”, “lack of security in Katsina”, “Governor must talk”, “Kankara is bleeding”, “parents are crying” among others.

This is as the Coalition of Northern Groups led by its North-West Coordinator, Jamilu Aliyu earlier at a media conference, threatened that, if the boys are not rescued on time, they will mobilise and occupy the streets of Katsina even with the last drop of their blood.

Meanwhile, the state Governor Aminu Masari while receiving the delegation confirmed that so far, the government is yet to account for a total of 333 students out of a population of 839 students.

Leader of the delegation and Defence Minister, Bashir Magashi, assures the people of the State that, all the students will be rescued within the shortest possible time due to the high intelligence gathered.
