The worsening situation of the Benin Agbor road has continued to be of serious concern to road users and motorists in Benin City, Edo state.

Some of the road users have called on government and its agencies to at least begin remediation measures on the road before the rehabilitation proper.

The bad state of roads in Edo state has left motorists traveling to various parts of Nigeria stranded.

The Benin Agbor road which links the Eastern and Western parts of Nigeria through the Byepass has become a nightmare to motorists and commuters as it has deteriorated to a level where even pedestrians find it difficult to use the road.

Some of the vehicles mostly trucks, and commercial vehicles conveying passengers and goods to various States in the country have to contend with vehicular traffic for days at the bad portions of the road stretching almost four kilometres.

The drivers while speaking on their ordeals on the Benin Agbor road called on the federal and state government to give temporary remedy to the deplorable road which has resulted in loss of man hours, damage to vehicles and in some cases loss of lives.
