A letter circulating from online, purporting to be that of Muhammad Babangida’s rejection of his appointment as chairman of the Bank of Agriculture, has been deemed to be fake
Muhammed is the son of former military president Ibrahim Babangida. His appointment was announced by President Bola Tinubu last week
The letter rejecting the appointment claimed “personal and professional considerations” for his decision.

But Kassim Afegbua, who enjoys a close relationships with the Babangida’s and is the spokesman’s to his
father. President Ibrahim Babangida, described the letter circulating as fake news.
Afegbua, who confirmed this development to AIT, said the letter, which allegedly declined President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Mohammed Babangida as Chairman of Bank of Agriculture is the handiwork of mischief makers
