Multiple accident disrupts traffic on Kara Bridge axis of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Vehicular movement along the usually busy Kara Bridge along the Lagos- Ibadan Expressway was further disrupted early Thursday following a multiple accident that caused many commuters to continue their journey on foot amid heavy traffic stretching several kilometers.

A statement from the permanent secretary,Lagos State Emergency Management Agency’s Femi Oke- Osayintolu says the accident involved a forty feet containerized truck, a luxury bus, ,a hiace bus and a commercial bus.

Early responders at the scene of the incident included officials from the state fire service as well and Federal Road Safety Commission who had a tough time controlling traffic.

Though no lives were reported lost during the incident, persons who suffered varying degrees injury were taken to nearby hospitals.
