The Corp Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi has directed the Safety Engineering Unit of the Corps to commence thorough investigation into the unfortunate road traffic crash involving three tankers and a trailer that were engulfed in explosion on Kara bridge of the Lagos- Ibadan expressway.
In a statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, the Corps Marshal decried the attendant loss of lives and damages to properties resulting from such avoidable crashes, and expressed concern over the ugly incident.

Oyeyemi wondered why the country is still experiencing such ugly trends on the roads despite the series of engagements with the various Unions of tankers and trailers and major stakeholders in the road transport.
He attributed the incessant road mishaps to undue violation of maximum safety standards by both drivers and owners of these vehicles.
