Niger State House of Assembly, has urged the Federal Government to, as a matter of urgency, deploy security agents to the troubled Kuchi community in Munya Local Government Area of the state.
This follows last Friday’s attack where the terrorists numbering over 300 defied downpour, invaded the ancient railway town of Kuchi and unleashed terror on the people, abducting over 150 villagers.
The attack also saw seven people killed, including four members of the joint security task force stationed in the area, while several others were injured.
Four days later, the terrorists launched another attack leading to the abduction of the village head of Kuchi, Musa Ali and entire members of his household.
A source said the village head was released midway into the journey, to go and source for money for the release of his family members.

The House of Assembly, in a motion of urgent public importance brought before it by the member representing Munya Constituency, Joseph Duza, called on the Federal and State Governments to deploy security agents to the community.
According to Duza, the entire community of about 3,000 people, has been deserted.
He explained that the sustained attacks by the terrorists have left the community empty as the gunmen looted everything the people had laboured for, stressing that “shops, houses and food barns were not spared”.
The Assembly unanimously adopted the motion which was seconded by the member representing Agaie State Constituency, Mohammed Estugaie, and asked both the Federal and State Governments to immediately deploy security agents to the area, to restore normalcy and enable the people to return to their homes.
The Assembly also called on the government through the Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and the State Emergency Management Agency to extend some relief materials to the displaced people of the community.
Speaker Abdulmalik Sarkin-Daji, who presided over the sitting, asked the Assembly to observe a minute of silence for souls of those who were killed by the terrorists as a mark of honour.
