While the NUJ commends the Nigeria Police for discovering the body of the Late journalist, whose death was in such a manner that clearly highlights and further exposes the dangers journalists encounter in carrying their work,it however urges the law enforcement agencies to go beyond the discovery of the corps, but dig deep to answer hanging questions.
The NUJ reiterates calls to the Police to move fast and fish out the culprits behind the dastardly act with a view to bringing them to book.
NUJ Notes that When journalists work in fear, the freedom of expression and freedom of the press suffer and democracy will be worse off while adding that It is therefore pertinent that deliberate efforts are made to ensure the safety and security of media professionals nationwide.

Tordue Salem went missing since October 13, 2021, but available report from Police on November 12, 2021 after his lifeless body was found is suggesting a case of hit and run that led to the journalist eventual Demise.
