Andy Murray has criticised world number one Novak Djokovic for the organisation of the Adria tour exhibition tournament in the Balkan region after the Serbian and three other players tested positive for COVID-19.
Murray also said he hoped the players and their family members who tested positive recovered soon and noted that the tournament should not have gone ahead in hindsight.
Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric, and Viktor Troicki all returned positive tests after playing in the tournament where players were seen hugging at the net, playing basketball, posing for pictures and attending media conferences together.
With international tennis suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, world number one Djokovic organised the Adria tour as a charity event to be contested over four legs across the former Yugoslavia.

However, the event backfired as a number of positive COVID-19 cases were recorded.
The development is of great concern to tennis governing bodies in their bid to restart the sport after three months of shutdown.
