Christmas celebration in Kano State, North-West Nigeria was unique as Muslims joined Christian faithful to celebrate in churches as a way of fostering unity between the two religions.
Clergymen in some of the churches visited charged the worshippers to continue to show love and shun all forms of violence.
Every 25th of December affords Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

While calling on Christians to seek God’s intervention over the rising insecurity in the country, the clegymen believe government has the power to address the current challenges.

Some worshippers including Muslims said they will continue to promote peace.
As at the time of this report, the celebration was peaceful in every parts of the State.
