Dr Obadiah Mailafia

Embattled former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Obadiah Mailifia has raised an alarm that his life and those of his family are no longer safe.

Mailifia raised the alarm as the Department of State Security, DSS extends fresh invitation to him for questioning.

The invitation is the third by the secret service to Mailafia in the last two months.

Speaking with AIT,  the former CBN Deputy Governor alleged that there is a plot by some political forces to silence him forever.

He said his life and that of his family are in now in serious danger.

“I have once again  (for the 3rd time) been ordered to appear before the DSS at their Jos HQ this coming Monday 14th September,  at 11.00 am.  This is in addition to our battle in court,  as my lawyer appears before a Jos High Court today Friday the 11th, seeking a restraining order against the DIG Criminal Investigations Department (CID) who are also pursuing me”, he said.

Mailafia has been on the radar of the security operatives after an interview on Nigeria Info 93.3 FM two months ago; alleging that a sitting governor from the north is a commander of the deadly terrorist organization, Boko Haram.

Mailafiya has been invited twice by the DSS and was released unconditionally on both occasions before he was later invited by the Police for criminal investigation; an invitation he bluntly declined and headed for the court for a restraining order against the Police.
