Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouk kept Interrogators waiting without an official communication to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC as to why she didn’t honour the Commission’s invitation.
The Former Minister did not make appearance to answer questions on an over 37.1 billion naira allegedly laundered during her tenure in office through a contractor, James Okwete.
Sadiya Umar-Farouk was asked to appear before investigators at the EFCC headquarters, Abuja on Wednesday to give account of the alleged fraud that took place under her watch.
An interrogator who spoke under anonymity says the interrogation team had to close late in the evening when they were certain that the former Minister was not going to show up.
When contacted on the next line of action by the EFCC, the Spokesperson of the Commission, Dele Oyewale declined comment
