As part of activities marking its 61st anniversary, the Nigerian Air Force brought free medical services to residents of Hayin Banki in Kaduna State.
The initiative highlights the Force’s commitment to community service and social responsibility.
The outreach, part of NAF’s non-kinetic strategy, aims to improve healthcare access for underserved communities while commemorating the Force’s 61 years of service.
Representing the Air Officer Commanding, Air Training Command, Kaduna, Chief of Staff, Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Victor Ajiboye, said the initiative reflects the Chief of Air Staff’s directive to deepen community engagement and reduce preventable disease-related deaths.
He noted that the outreach underscores NAF’s role in nation-building beyond its traditional military functions, especially in promoting public health.
Residents received free medical consultations, treatment for various ailments, basic lab tests, dental and eye care, health counselling, and items such as medicated glasses, mosquito nets, and medications.
More complex cases were referred to the 461 Nigerian Air Force Hospital for further treatment.
