The Nigerian Air Force says the future of its operations lie in the hands of a new generation of military technicians whose professionalism is required to strengthen the nation’s airpower capability.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, stated this at the graduation of 302 military technicians at the Air Force Institute of Technology, Kaduna.
The graduation of 302 officers, airmen, and airwomen marks another milestone in the development of technical manpower, a critical factor in Nigeria’s quest for self-reliance in defence.
Officials say the new technicians are expected to strengthen the Nigerian Air Force and advance national aspirations by providing innovative solutions that enhance aircraft maintenance and improve operational readiness.
Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, congratulated the graduands for their achievement, stressing that their skills will be needed more than ever as the Service inducts next-generation aircraft with sophisticated systems.
