NAF to unleash more Special Forces on terrorists as another set graduates

Officers and men of the Nigerian Air Force have been charged to redouble their efforts in the ongoing fight against terrorism and insurgency, bedevilling the country’s economic growth and development.

The charge was given by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiyaka Amao, during the graduation ceremony of Special Forces in Bauchi State, Northeast Nigeria.

The air personnel underwent the twelve weeks of Special Forces Training Course 10/2022, demonstrating parts of what they learned during the period.

In his welcome address, the Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Ibikunle Daramola, said the Special Forces Training became critical to the Nigerian Air Force, considering the present threat to national security, thereby undermining the economic growth and development of the country.

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiyaka Amao, represented by the Chief of Training and Operations, Air Vice Marshal Auwal Bello, commended the personnel for their doggedness in ensuring that they pass through all the rigorous exercises, attached to the training, calling on them to use the skills and knowledge acquired, in combating the ongoing fight against insecurity, bedevilling the country.

The protection of lives and properties of the citizenry, according to digntries at the ceremony, should be seen as everybody’s responsibility, even as the participants were asked to use their wealth of experience, in addressing various security challenges facing the country.
