The Nigerian Air Force has cautioned its personnel to remain apolitical, and refrain from any form of political engagement.
The Air Officer Commanding, Special Operations Command, Air Vice Marshal Usman Abdullahi, gave the charge, during the 2025 Annual Walk/Jog Exercise, held in Bauchi.
The event aims to strengthen unity, cohesion, enhance mental alertness, and promote physical fitness among the officers and men of the command.
The Annual Fitness Exercise brought together officers, airmen, other sister security agencies, and civilians.
The Special Guest of Honour, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, was represented by his Deputy, Auwal Jatau, who also joined in the exercise.

This year’s event, featured two categories: a 10-kilometre walk and a jog, covering separate routes for men, women, and children.
Unlike previous editions, the 2025 exercise is structured as a competition, with winners emerging across all categories.
The Deputy Governor, Auwal Jatau, described the event as more than just a fitness routine, emphasising that it symbolises unity, teamwork, and shared national purpose.
The event concluded with the presentation of prizes to winners in various categories, aimed at boosting morale, and encouraging continuous fitness among participants.
