Names of Wike, allies still on PDP updated presidential campaign council

Despite threat to withdraw from the Presidential Campaign Council of the PDP , the names of Governor of Rivers state and his allies are still prominent on the final updated list of members of the council

In the update list released on Friday, Governor of Oyo state Seyi Makinde remains the deputy chairman of the campaign council for the south while the Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, Abia state Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu and Benue state Governor Samuel Ortom are on the list.

Also on the list are some allies of the Rivers strong man who have consistently shown their dissatisfaction for the PDP recent activities.

What is however not clear is whether or not the PDP national leaders has been able to reach to truce with the aggrieved in the party..

On Friday, the PDP presidential candidate through the Director General of Atiku’s campaign council and Governor of Sokoto State Aminu Tambuwal reassured of the party’s commitment to resolve all lingering issues in the party before September 28, the official date for the inauguration of the PDP presidential campaign.
