The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has pledged to develop new strategies and foster collaboration to tackle the evolving trends in human trafficking.
The Director General of NAPTIP, Prof. Fatima Waziri-Azi made this commitment while unveiling activities for the 2024 World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, in Abuja.
The 2024 theme, ‘Leave No Child Behind in the Fight Against Trafficking in Persons’ aims to promote a human rights-based approach to addressing trafficking, vulnerabilities and strengthening criminal justice responses.

The celebration will include a female novelty match, community town hall dialogue, awareness walk, bootcamp for state task force members, survivor’s talent show, and online awareness campaign.
The DG appealed to all Nigerians to join hands with NAPTIP to ensure a successful celebration and create a world where every child can thrive in safety and dignity
