The Minister of Labour and employment, Chris Ngige, has expressed shock over the resumption of the suspended strike, by the National Association of Resident Doctors.
Deputy Director, Press, Charles Akpan in a statement, said that the ministry did not receive any strike notice from the resident doctors.
Akpan said that the Minister at a meeting in July assured the doctors of the government’s prompt implementation of the agreements reached.

National Association of resident doctors, announced the resumption of the suspended strike on Friday in Umuahia, accusing the federal government of reneging on the agreements reached.
