The Nasarawa State Government, says it has beefed up security, to stop fleeing bandits currently being dislodged, as a result of the ongoing military onslaughts in the North West and North East, from making the state a safe haven.

Governor Abdullahi Sule made this known on Friday, during another emergency and expanded state security council meeting in Lafia, the state capital.

Based on intelligence reports of some strange movements in some parts of Nasarawa State, Governor Abdullahi Sule tasked the residents to be vigilant and report suspicious movements to the security agencies.

He warned the bandits and criminals seeking to make Nasarawa state a safe haven for their nefarious activities, to think twice before the long arm of the law catches up with them.

Gov.Sule said that his administration will continue to work in close synergy with the security agencies, the local hunters and the vigilantes, to make Nasarawa state uncomfortable for the fleeing bandits and other criminally minded persons.

The Governor further assured that, the state government will do all within its powers, to provide surveillance around the state boundaries, in a bid to protect the lives and property of the people.
