Nasarawa State Government plans to spend over N382 billion during the 2025 fiscal year. Governor Abdullahi Sule presented the Appropriation Bill to the State House of Assembly on Friday in Lafia.
Tagged “Budget of Economic Growth and Stability”, the 2025 Appropriation Bill, according to Governor Sule is designed to consolidate on what his administration has already started and execute projects that will directly and positively affect the lives of the people
The appropriation estimates comprise of recurrent expenditure of N159.9 billion which represents 41.9% of the budget, while N222.6 billion or 58.1% is for capital expenditure.
Education got the largest chunk of the budget with N78.1 billion, infrastructure followed with N71.1 billion with General Administration allocated the sum of N50.7 billion.
Governor Sule in his presentation highlighted his administration’s plans to diversify income streams and give priority to the development of key sectors.
Nasarawa State House of Assembly Speaker, Danladi Jatau said the budget will receive speedy attention from the lawmakers.
The 2025 budget is N26 billion higher than the 2024 figure of N356.5 billion.
