Ensuring that qualified teachers are employed and the right and modern curriculum is developed to enhance teaching and learning in Nasarawa State is a task that cannot take the back seat.

The State Governor Abdullahi Sule said this when a delegation of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools paid him a visit in Lafia the state capital.

The education they say is the bedrock of any society. The sector and its system have however suffered serious neglect. Governor Abdullahi Sule notes that for the education sector to get it right, all hands must be on deck to give education its rightful place.

Sule explained that apart from allocating a huge amount to the education sector in the 2020 budget, his administration also engaged in a base line survey and discovered that the situation in the education sector is devastating.

He said he appreciated the role played by proprietors of Private Schools across the State adding that the idea behind the recently passed harmonization tax law in the State is to prevent entities like Private Schools owners in the State from illegal revenue collectors.

Chairman National Association of proprietors of Private schools Nasarawa state chapter Boniface Lorumbe said education in the State has received massive support through Construction of schools and the recent employment of more teachers in the State.

He explained that because of the adquate attention given to education by governor Abdullahi Sule, it has changed the perception and view about education across the State.
