The Governor, who spoke from his experience in the oil and gas sector, pointed out that it was important for lawmakers to understand that issues relating to the petroleum industry affect national development and only sincere and realistic solutions must be put forward.
The governor proposed the imposition of penalties, assuring that oil and gas companies can afford to pay such penalties.
According to Sule, the challenge posed by the prevailing insecurity has the potential to hinder Nigeria from harnessing its rich oil reserves, thus affecting her OPEC production quota.
Other speakers include the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, FCT Minister, Mohammed Bello, former Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbe, as well as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
