The Nasarawa State government and the Republic of Poland are set to partner in key sectors such as education, solid minerals, agriculture, and energy investments that promise to boost the economic development of the state and improve the livelihoods of its people.
The Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, Michal Cygan, who said this during a visit to Governor Abdullahi Sule in Lafia, the state capital, Poland is keen on leveraging the vast opportunities and potentials that Nasarawa State offers..
Nasarawa State, known for its rich solid mineral deposits and its growing reputation as an investment destination, has continued to attract the attention of some European countries including the Republic of Poland.
The Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, Michal Cygan, acknowledged the warm hospitality and peaceful nature of the people, stating that such attributes, combined with the state’s economic prospects, present promising avenues for collaboration.
He highlighted Poland’s interest in fostering economic ties and partnerships in various sectors including education, agriculture, solid minerals, green energy, rural electrification, and innovation.
Recognizing the shared interests and opportunities between Nasarawa and Poland, Governor Abdullahi Sule reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations while commending Poland for her support in promoting peace, security, sustainable energy, and further investments in other economically viable areas.
Governor Sule called for stronger collaborations between Nasarawa State and the Republic of Poland in agriculture and vocational education, areas he described as essential to the state’s development strategy and youth empowerment.
