The Nasarawa State Chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN on Tuesday vowed to stay away from the planned valedictory session in honour of the outgoing Chief Judge of the state, Justice Suleiman Dikko slated for Thursday, December 31, 2020 over what they described as “his sin against the workers”.

State chairman of JUSUN, Jimoh Musa Alonge in a statement after an emergency executive meeting says it is undeserving for the union to be  present at the event following failure of the outgoing chief justice to protect the interest of workers.

Jimoh said despite interventions by prominent persons including the state Governor Abdullahi Sule, emir of lafia, Justice Sidi Bage and host of others justice Dikko failed to support workers welfare.

Jimoh argued that the impasse with the workers persisted due to allegation of embezzlement of 400 million naira, raised against the outgoing chief judge.

JUSU Nasarawa state executive further took a unanimous decision not to forgive justice Dikko for his sin against them and promised to pursue all judiciary workers entitlement witheld by the outgoing Chief judge.

Judiciary Workers in Nasarawa state has engaged in several agitations and strike over unpaid salaries and other entitlements in the last four years.
