The Nasarawa State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate, David Ombugadu, has picked Usman Ohinoyi, a former lawmaker in the state, and a grassroots mobilizer as his running mate, for the 2023 General Elections.

This decision is to beat the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, deadline.

The Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate, David Ombugadu said his choice of picking Usman Ohinoyi was based on consensus by the party in the state.

Ombugadu said the party chose Usman, because of his numerous track records and achievements in the state.

He said he believes Usman Ohinoyi, who is a former lawmaker in the state, and a grassroots mobilizer, will further strengthen the Party’s chances of taking over power in the state come 2023.

Recounting his losses in the 2019 general elections, Ombugadu said his running for the governorship election in 2023, is a result of the new electoral act, signed by President Mohammadu Buhari.

He believes that it will give no room for failure of card readers and the people will be allowed to vote for their choice candidates.

Ombugadu also promised to run an all-inclusive and impactful government, if elected.
