A middle aged Man Abdulkarim Zakari a suspected kidnapper is now in the custody of the Nasarawa State Police Command
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel and made available to journalists in Lafia, said the command, arrested Zakari from Wamba Local Government Area of the State and recovered the sum of Five Hundred and Forty Seven Thousand Naira said to be part of his share of a ransom .
Nansel explained that On sunday 27th october 2024 at about 1130hrs, police operatives attached to 38 PMF Akwanga in collaboration with men of the Nasarawa Eggon Division arrested the suspect in connection with a case of kidnapping currently under investigation.

He noted that Upon interrogation, Zakari confessed to be part of the syndicate that kidnapped one Ciroman Fulani in an area called Arugbadu where they collected ransom of five million Naira (N5,000,000) and he received one million and two hundred thousand Naira (N1,200,000) from the ransom
He said the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered a manhunt for the other fleeing members of the syndicate and also commended the officers for sustaining the onslaught against criminals in the state.
