The Police in Nasarawa State have begun investigation in to the suspected abduction of a Permanent Secretary with the State Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Yusuf Musa.
In a statement released by the State Police Command spokesman, Ramhan Nansel to Journalists in Lafia on Tuesday, the Police authorities said a comprehensive investigation into the abduction saga has led to a search of Musa’s residence which confirmed that victim is actually missing, raising security concerns.
The statement explained that, in the early hours of Tuesday, a Patrol team from B Division, Lafia, discovered a Peugeot Pick-up van with all its doors left wide open in a suspicious manner.
Upon closer examination, officers observed that the gate to the victim’s residence was also ajar, prompting further suspicion of abduction.
The Police said, upon entering into the premises by operatives, it was discovered that Musa was nowhere to be found, and neither was his GMC Motor vehicle.

Subsequently, the Police Commissioner, Jauro Mohammed ordered a tactical operation, alerting all relevant Police divisions in the State, including units in Akwanga, Andaha, Garaku and Kadarko.
Personnel were also deployed to track and intercept the fleeing suspects, urging members of the public to remain calm and report useful information that could help in ensuring Barrister Musa’s safe release.
