The Police in Nasarawa State have busted an armed robbery gang which wrote letters to communities in New Karu that its members were planning to carry out robbery operations in the area.
A covert team of policemen from the New Karu division arrested two members of the gang last weekend while the robberies were being planned.

Police Public Relations Officer in Nasarawa State Ramhan Nansel confirmed the development in a phone interview adding that the suspects have confessed to the crime.
Nasarawa State has been battling with an increased wave of cases of banditry, kidnapping, and armed robbery.
