Nasarawa State: 100 handicapped persons Receive wheel chair donation

No fewer than one hundred persons living with disability in Nasarawa state have been given tricycle wheel chairs to aid them in going about their normal daily activities.

The disbursement of the wheel chairs took place in Karu Local Goverment Area of Nasarawa state

The Executive chairman of Karu Local Goverment area Nasarawa state, James Thomas together with the handicapped research center and rehabilitation distributed the tricycle wheel chairs to the disabled persons in Karu.

Thomas in his speech said, the gesture was born out of the plans of the present government in the state to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged, youths and women in the society.

Commending the efforts of the Chairman and the research center, the Etsu Karu, Luka Panya who is the first class chief in Karu Local Goverment area of the state said the exercise is first of its kind in the area.

He called on well meaning Nigerians to help in putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged and vulnerable persons in the state.

Some of the beneficiaries thanked the facilitators for the gift and promised to make good use of the wheel chairs as it will go a long way to ease their daily movements and activities.
